| Advisory Council on Commercial Diplomacy A Moderating Force Within the Global Community Advisory Council on Commercial Diplomacy - Overseers Overseers are distinguished individuals and independent experts, who are selected globally on the basis of their individual interests, personal and professional integrity, recognised knowledge and expertise, professional background, positions of honour, leadership capability, representation, vision and dedication to the advancement and promotion of responsible commercial diplomatic practise, and above all, willingness to participate in the dynamic life of both the unique commercial diplomatic profession, and the commercial diplomats regulation authority - ACCD. Mandate: To safeguard and promote high standards of excellence and professional conduct To consult with the Presidium on specific projects, and be a moderating force within the global community To look for the indices that will attract respect for the commercial diplomatic profession, and support in determining from time to time the knowledge and skills that shall be attained by persons seeking to qualify for Diplomatic Merit Awards To work with the Presidium on the means, by which the global community will accord the commercial diplomatic profession and the global professional awarding body respect To enhance the development role and impact of the global professional body (ACCD), the Council and the profession of commercial diplomacy To work with the Presidium on the competence, professional standards, knowledge and skills that shall be attained by persons or institutions seeking to qualify for Accreditation To nominate, support and advise on Diplomatic Merit Awards, and maintain the quality of support and guidance for qualified practitioners and their professional development- To focus on integrity, raising the professional standards, and promoting responsible commercial diplomatic practise
